What are Negative-Calorie Foods?

All foods have calories, that is no doubt. However, there are some foods that have fewer calories than others. The foods with fewer calories that use more calories to burn than those consumed are called Negative Calorie Foods. These foods can work to a great advantage when trying to lose and maintain weight-loss.

Below is a list of some Negative Calorie Foods:

  • Apples
  • Cranberries
  • Grapefruit
  • Papaya
  • Orange
  • Pineapple
  • Lemon
  • Raspberries
  • Asparagus
  • Zucchini
  • Spinach
  • Beet
  • Broccoli
  • Cabbage
  • Carrots
  • Radish
  • Onion
  • Lettuce
  • Green Beans
  • Garlic
  • Cucumber
  • Chile Peppers
  • Celery
  • Brussel Sprouts

You can use any of these foods in combination or alone. I recommend making a salad with a number of these and having it before every meal or making a “vegetable” or “fruit” smoothie and having it every morning.
