Festival of Color – Holi

Holi is a religious Hindu festival celebrated across the world. I’m not going to write the full history or religious significance behind Holi. If you’d like to learn more about the festival, please visit our friends at Wikipedia, HERE for further details.

For me, Holi is a day to celebrate the end of winter and the beginning of spring. It’s a festival full of colors. To celebrate Holi, people throw colored powder and colored water on each other. There’s great food and drinks to consume. Lots of family gatherings and is a lot of fun.

Here’s my Holi thali of colors! D’s face was all blue and purple. Sorry can’t post pictures of him but just imagine someone dumping that whole tray of colors all over you! Lol. It was funtastic!
