I haven’t written my food journal in a couple of days. Don’t worry, I haven’t side-tracked. I’m still enjoying my Boost meal-replacement shakes. But I do find the evenings a bit tough to deal with, especially since D gets home so late and is always craving dessert after dinner.
I’m constantly looking for healthy dessert recipes and ideas. I’ve found a few online and on the Food Food channel I subscribe through my Rogers cable. But some just seem too time consuming to make.
So, this evening I’m going to experiment and try to make a strawberry sorbet on my own. Hopefully, I can find a pack of frozen strawberries at the grocery store. Here’s my recipe for my health-wise sorbet:
1 box strawberries or pack of frozen strawberries
1/2 cup sugar (or Splenda)
2-3 tablespoons lemon juice
10-12 Ice cubes
In a blender mix all ingredients together. Scoop into bowls and enjoy.
I’ve also made a delicious fruit salad and topped it with lemon juice and black salt.
These were my two changes this week. Besides that everything else has even pretty routine to last week’s meal plan. I’ll post more delicious recipes next week!
