Lest We Forget

On the 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month bow your head and take a moment to remember what the veterans across the world have done for all of us. Please take a moment to honour their lives and cherish their memories. Regardless of your race, colour, religion or culture, you are a human being first and foremost and in your country and in our world, there have been veterans that gave their lives so that we could be who we are today.

Lest we forget.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow between the crosses, row on row, that mark our place; and in the sky the larks, still bravely singing, fly scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago, welived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe: to you from failing hands we throw, the torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die, we shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. -John McCrae
