Happy 150th Birthday Canada

Happy Birthday to the country that has been my beautiful home for the past 30 years. Thank you for all the opportunities you’ve given me. Thank you for being a beautiful, safe and culturally diverse place to raise my family. I am truly a blessed and proud Canadian.

Happy Canada Day and 4th of July to everyone north and south of the border. I hope you celebrate your nation by loving your neighbors, appreciating all the opportunities you’ve been given and count your blessings. Have lots of fun and celebrate.

Have a great long weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends and followers. I’m thankful for all of you. I’m thankful for my family and my friends. I’m thankful for the roof over my head, the food in my fridge, the money in my wallet and for my job. I’m thankful all the things I have and all the people in my life.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian readers. I hope you’re all enjoying your long-weekend with family, friends and good food.

This year, D and I have decided not to hold a thanksgiving dinner at our place due to my health not being the greatest. However, we’ll be holding a Christmas dinner later this year to make up for it. Plus, by that time our little princess will have arrived and it will be a great opportunity for us to introduce her to our loved ones.

But I would like to say, that today and always, I am thankful for D, my best friend, my husband, the love of my life and my support and partner in crime. I’m thankful that he came in to my life two and a half years ago and flipped my world upside-down. I’m thankful that we got married and are now expecting our first child.

I’m also thankful for my mom, who has been a great support throughout my life. Without her, I just don’t know where I’d be. I’m thankful mostly for here these days because he has helped D and I with many of the necessities we need for our princess. Plus, has provided so much guidance and support.

I’m also thankful for my sister-in-law, she’s been my support throughout this pregnancy like no one else has. With all the illnesses and pains, she continuously cooked dinners for D and I while I could barely stand the smell of food. Plus, due to the experience of having three children of her own, she’s been a huge knowledge-base for me and all my worries and questions. Along with her, a colleague turned friend, Ang, has also been a great source for information and support throughout the pregnancy, always reassuring me that I’ll get through this and any obstacle or pain that comes my way.

I’m also thankful for a great boss turned close-friend, Cat. She’s tolerated and supported me throughout the past few months even when I couldn’t handle it all myself. She’s been like a big sister watching over me, spoiling me with treats and crazy lunches. She’s been my comfort away from D and has never asked for anything in return.

Although, there are so many more people and things that I am thankful for today, I wanted to call-out these few so that hopefully one day if any of them read this post, they all know how absolutely thankful I am for having them in my life.

Lastly, I’m thankful for all of you, my readers for putting up with all my ups and downs and inconsistencies of posting irregularly. Without all of you keeping my blog alive by checking back over time to see whether I had finally posted something or not, I probably would have just faded away into the cyber never-never land.

Thank you all for keeping me alive here!!! I hope you enjoy your thanksgiving and are filled with all the love and happiness the world has to offer as I am!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends! Hope it’s a day filled with family, love, laughter and lots if yummy food.

This year I’m thankful for D; the love of my life, for my family, for a few good friends, a good job, my readers and life overall. It’s been tough lately but regardless, I am thankful for everything I have and am.

I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving too. Do share what you’re thankful for.

The work towards my dream has slowly begun. ZiddiTamana.com is not nearly ready to be launched but the ground work has taken off. I’m in the midst of designing a logo. The website design has also been selected. Now, I’m just getting ready to have the site built.

Have I told you all about ZiddiTamana.com? Probably not. Its been a concept and secret up until now. I’ve hidden the details from pretty much everyone so far. I guess its the superstition in me that’s prevented me from writing about it up until now. Plus, I’ve really staggered the project and concept for a long while.

I’m hoping to have everything up and ready for launch by November. Launch date is currently set to my birthday. But I’ll keep you guys in the loop with the latest development.
Until then, hang tight! 🙂

Naach Radio – I Am So In Love

With my work days becoming longer and busier and my work-out sessions with D tiring me out, I’ve indulged in some amazing music lately. I came across a South Asian, internet-based radio station called Naach Radio. I spend almost all day at work and home listening!

How could I not share my new treat with all of you?

So, I go to site as soon as I get into work every morning and am set for my day! The beats and music are amazing. The songs rarely are ever repeated and there’s pretty much no talking. So, its non-stop music all day.

So far, this morning’s playlist has ranged from Rihanna, Bally Sagoo, Kanye West, Drake, Eminem, Miss. Pooja, Lil’Wayne, Lehmber Hussainpuri, RDB (@rdbtv) and the list just goes on…
