Becoming Hopeless – Weight-Loss Hell

I am becoming so hopeless. I was on my eat-right diet plan for so many days, I even did the detox and didn’t manage to lose a single pound. I exercised, I ate less, I ate right and nothing. No friggin difference made at all.

I only have 2.5 months before I have to go back to work and I still haven’t lost any weight. I am so depressed. I am constantly feeling hungry but after checking my weight today and realizing I still haven’t lost a single point, I think I might just stop eating all together. Maybe I’ll just do a crash diet of water and celery sticks for a week and hopefully shed 5-10 pounds and then go back to my routine or not (depends on how much weight I lose in the first week).

I need some sort of miracle to help lose the first few pounds. Then maybe I’ll be determined again to eat better.

Feel horribly hopeless,

Quick Update

Sorry lovies, I’ve been dealing with some family issues; which is why I haven’t been able to write about my diet plan. Matter-of-fact, I’ve put my diet plan on hold for now. I haven’t been sleeping properly or eating so I thought it was best to put it on hold. If you read my last post about saving a Canadian citizen you’d understand why I’m in so much stress.

I’ll try to post again soon. For now just have patience with me.

Cranberry & Lemon Juice Cleanse Update

A few days ago I posted about starting a detox for three days and just wanted to give all of you an update. Quite frankly, I didn’t check my weight prior to starting the cleanse and still haven’t checked it yet. But I haven’t stopped drinking the mixture either. It tastes so good and has made me feel so refreshed that I’ve decided to continue drinking it. Oh and it definitely makes you feel less bloated and lighter.

I’ve changed up the recipe a bit. I’ve added fresh ginger, chopped and slightly mashed to the mix. Oh and I’m not just eating vegetables and fruits and have added normal solids back to my diet.

Here’s the recipe again for anyone who missed it in my last post:

0 ounces of water
4-6 tablespoons of sugar-free cranberry juice
1 dandelion root tea bag
3-4 tablespoons lemon juice

Remember, drink this mixture for 3 days and eats veggies and fruits. This helps get rid of the excess water-weight we carry around. I’ll try to check my weight sometime this weekend and let you all know if there’s any improvement.

Until then, have a great weekend! Xoxox

Weight-Loss Challenge Continues…

Sorry lovies, for being MIA for the past few days. My back is finally better and I am back to my normal, upbeat self again. I was stuck in bed for one too many days an the scorching heat in Toronto didn’t help encourage me to want to get up either. But I’m back to my normal self and ready to get back on track with my exercise routine.

Along with that, in also going to begin a 3-day cleanse. I found this cleanse in Pinterest and it was worth giving a try. It’s suppose to help rid your body of toxins and extra water-weight we all carry along. Although, the articles I read suggest you’ll lose 5-7 pounds.; I’m not counting on it or use that as my determination to do the cleanse. My main purpose of doing it is that I’ve been half-ass on my weight-loss routine this past week and need a boost to get me going again.

Here’s how I’m doing the cleanse:

60 ounces of water
4-6 tablespoons of sugar-free cranberry juice
1 dandelion root tea bag
3-4 tablespoons lemon juice

Drink this mixture for 3 days and eats veggies and fruits. This helps get rid of the excess water-weight we carry around.

I’m going to begin this tomorrow and see how it goes. I should probably check my starting weight as well. But I’ve dreaded getting on the scale. I guess, I’ll need to do it to see if this cleanse actually works as well as it says.

Ill let you all know my results at the end of the 3 days. Until then, stay healthy and eat right! Xoxox

Apples & Lemon Water Body Cleanse

I read somewhere that the natural way of cleansing your body to begin your weight-loss routine is more effective and safer than using all those chemically enhanced cleansers. So, as I continued researching, I came across a method which I find quite interesting. I’ll be starting it next Thursday as I’m off from work for the rest of week. (Don’t worry, I’ll let you know how it went)

Apples and Lemon Water Body Cleanse:

  1. As soon as you wake up, drink 3-4 glasses of water and a glass of salt and sugar lemon water (you can make it the night before and store it in the fridge). Within 20 minutes your body will begin the cleansing process. You will probably notice that you have to use bathroom more often to get rid of all the waste.
  2. After you have finished in the bathroom, head over to the kitchen and cut up some apples and have them for breakfast. Remember, coffee and tea is not permitted today.
  3. After breakfast, trying going for a small 30-45 minute walk or do some cardio. Just keep in mind not to over exert yourself as you’ll need your energy for the rest of the day.
  4. You will start feeling hungry, so have another 3-4 glasses of water and a glass of salt and sugar lemon.. If you start getting hunger pangs, you can have another apple.
  5. Drink the sweet and salty lemon water every 3-5 hours; it’ll keep your energy levels up. The author of the original post recommends only drinking sweet and salty lemon water in the morning and just drinking sweet lemon water for the rest of the day. She explains that the sweet lemon water will help you get rid of all the sodium in your body.
  6. Lunch and dinner should consist of apples and sweet lemon water.

The next day:

Try not to over eat today. I know you’ll be hungry, but for the above method to work, you need to take it slow and light today. Have a couple of glasses of lemon water (no salt and no sugar). Wait 20-30 minutes and then have your breakfast. Again, make sure to keep it light.

This method can be done twice a month for cleansing purposes and should not exceed 4 times a month for weight-loss purposes.

Well, there you have it! I’ll post my results and experience next week. Until than happy weight-loss! 🙂
