7 Year WordPress Anniversary

It’s been 7 years since I first started writing on WordPress (WP) and of course WP reminded me with a happy anniversary notification when I logged in a couple of days ago. It’s nice to be reminded of how long we’ve done something.

I started reading through some of my old posts, mostly those from last year and realized how much has happened that I’ve forgotten about. All those emotions and thoughts that were going through my mind while writing each post came rushing back.

I read many of your comments and it reminded me of all the support you guys have given me over the years. It reminded me that I’ve gained a small family on here that I’ve never met but has had my back for all those years I was pouring my heart out.

Thank you all for continuing to come back and give me support when I needed it the most. Some of you, I know on a personal level and others keep themselves privates and although you don’t give me your thoughts here, your text messages reassure me that there are people out there that wish me well and have love in their hearts for me.

Thank you all for being here for me. Your love and commitment to Ziddi Tamana is what makes it all worthwhile to write about my life publicly. Because of that love and commitment, I am moving towards restarting to write my book again. I abandoned it for a while but lately, my heart keeps telling me to write and after much discussion with Dev about what I want for my future, I’ve decided to begin writing again; The Story Of The Real Ziddi Tamana.

It’s a long, hard task. But it’s a dream I need to fulfill for my own sanity. Wish me luck and motivation because I’ll need it.

Happy Holidays, my lovelies!

Ziddi Tamana’s 2015 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for my blog. It’s amazing to see how all of you have supported me over the past  year.

Thank you for sharing my life with me through this blog and I hope you’ll continue to share my journey as I move through 2016.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 42,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 16 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Six Word Stories: 133.

I recently started going through the WordPress Community Pool, reading various blogs, providing my feedback and being so inspired by the amazing writers that make up this community.

Sometimes, when you are all wrapped up in your own torment, you forget that there are so many other things and people in the world that can inspire you to brighten and freshen up your day.

Someone has inspired me this morning. Her name is Nina. She writes 50 word stories and six word stories. I was skeptical when I first read her comments on the community pool. I mean, how could six words form a story? That’s impossible isn’t it? But it isn’t and this very talented writer has proven me wrong.

I’m reblogging this one specifically because I just love it. It says so much in such little words. Check out here blog and be inspired as I am this morning: In Noir Velvet.

Sorry For Disappearing

It’s been a hectic couple of weeks and every time I open up the WordPress app on my phone, I look at it for a second and then just shut it back down. I’m exhausted. I’m sick. I’m tired. I was frustrated, but part of my frustrations have gone away due to a doctor’s appointment with a fantastic pediatrician yesterday.

Finally a doctor who took the time to hear me out and understand what Ni’s been going through. Finally someone to confirm my assumption of what was wrong with Ni is actually truth. Finally someone who is doing their job and doing it well. Such a big weight has been lifted from my shoulders after yesterday’s appointment and I can see a light at the end of this horrible dark tunnel that Ni, me and D have been in.

Today, another weight was lifted from my shoulders. The Sochi Olympics report I’ve worked on for the last 2 weeks is finally done, finalized and submitted. It’s OVER! I stressed way too much over that report. But it was the first time I was left to do something as such on my own and quite frankly, it turned out fantastic.

Those are just a couple of the reasons why I’ve been MIA, besides of course the obvious; sleep deprivation. Now that those two things are resolved/near resolving, I will be back to my upbeat, regular posting self. Thanks for your patience and for sticking around while I dealt with all of this.

xoxo ~ Tamana

Changes To My Blog

Sorry lovies, for changing my blog theme unannounced. I’ve been getting lots of comments and questions about why the categories don’t show on the homepage of my blog lately. The theme I was using doesn’t allow for it, since I had time yesterday I changed it all up. I hope it still looks readable and is easier to navigate now.

I also wanted to let you all know that I’m going to be add some new pages to my blog and possibly have a new writer contribute. I’m still working on the deals of this new author and once I have more information on how often and when she’s going to begin contributing I’ll let you all know. Until then, enjoy the new layout and do let me know how you like it now.
